Research goals
Dr. Vaugeois’ research has centered on identifying the challenges, opportunities and innovative solutions that people in rural areas are engaging with as a result of changing realities brought about by globalization, population changes associated to mobility and aging, shifts in economic drivers and climate change. Her work has intersected with important questions on topics such as sustainability, amenity-based rural development, the artisan economy, cultural mapping, labour mobility and agritourism.
